DR. TAMÁS VARGA

He completed his medical studies at Semmelweis University. Even before starting university, he knew he wanted to become a plastic surgeon, and he pursued his studies with this goal in mind. After completing the first two theoretical years at university, he taught anatomy as a demonstrator and performed experimental microsurgery on animals as part of a scientific research group.

His surgical skills stood out even during his studies. He won a podium position at the Semmelweis University International Laparoscopic Practice Competition and became a finalist in the microsurgery category of the International Surgical Olympiad in Moscow.

His determination and dedication to plastic surgery are exemplified by his participation in a program at one of the world's leading microsurgery centers, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, during his university training. There, he learned from one of the best plastic surgeons, Prof. Fu-Chan Wei. He also volunteered in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgeries during his university years. His thesis focused on reconstructive plastic surgery for breast cancer patients.

He graduated in 2017 and began his specialist training at the Plastic and Burn Surgery Department of the South Pest Central Hospital, which was the largest burn center in the country and Budapest's leading plastic surgery department. During his training, he actively participated in the daily care of burn patients, reconstructive surgeries for massive weight-loss patients, oncological dermatological procedures, and breast cancer treatments.

His practical experience included placements at the National Institute of Oncology in Budapest, the Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Tumor Center, the Elite Clinic Private Clinic in Debrecen, the National Burn Center for Children in Bethesda, and the Da Vinci Private Clinic in Pécs.

His philosophy is that perfection is the minimum standard in plastic surgery. He aims to achieve the best possible outcome for every patient, tailored to their individual needs and expectations. Each procedure is preceded by a thorough consultation and detailed planning to fully understand the patient's desires. Surgeries are carried out with maximum precision, employing the latest tissue-sparing techniques and paying attention to every small detail.

In addition to surgical procedures, he places great emphasis on non-surgical treatments such as Botox and Hyaluronic Acid injections. He continuously enhances his knowledge in this area by attending prestigious international conferences and workshops.

He is particularly interested in the reconstructive, regenerative, and aesthetic applications of autologous fat transfer. He authored a chapter on this topic in an American textbook ("Plastic and Aesthetic Regenerative Surgery and Fat Grafting," Springer) and has delivered lectures both nationally and internationally.

He has presented at renowned international plastic surgery conferences, including ISAPS Athens 2023, IMCAS Paris 2024, and ISAPS Cartagena 2024.

Beyond his professional practice, he places great importance on scientific research. He is a Ph.D. student at Semmelweis University, focusing on plastic surgery procedures for female intimate areas. His research group’s work has been published in the esteemed "Aesthetic Surgery Journal."

In 2024, he was awarded a scholarship by the International Society of Plastic Surgery, enabling him to train for three months in Colombia with Dr. Lina Triana, one of the leading figures in plastic surgery.

He also takes an active role in the medical community. Between 2019 and 2023, he was a member of the National Ethics Committee of the Hungarian Medical Chamber and has been the national leader of the Resident Doctors’ Group since April 2021. Additionally, he volunteers for the "Action for the Vulnerable Foundation," participating in their missions to Bangladesh.
