WHAT COMPLAINTS MIGHT PATIENTS BRING TO US?

The female intimate region is unique, no two vulvas or labia minora are the same. There is no definition of what deviates from the normal and becomes problematic. Intimate surgery is only necessary when it causes aesthetic or functional complaints for the patient. The most common complaints among patients visiting our clinic are the size of the labia minora and/or the skin covering the clitoris (clitoral hood), which cause aesthetic and/or functional issues in everyday life. Another common complaint is the decrease in the volume (fullness) of the labia majora, which is made up of fatty tissue and gradually decreases and loses its fullness and youthful firmness due to hormonal effects or aging.

After childbirth, a common issue is the loss of vaginal tightness, urinary retention problems, or complaints related to episiotomy scars.

LABIA MINORA PLASTY

The labia minora, or inner labia, are part of the external female genitalia. Anatomically, the labia minora are located on the inside of the labia majora (outer labia) and are found around the vaginal opening. There are two labia minora, one on the right and one on the left, and they can appear either symmetrically or asymmetrically. The labia minora are one of the most important elements of the genitalia, playing a role in protecting the sexual organs, the vaginal opening, and the mucous membranes and sensitive areas from irritation and infections.

Labia minora plasty is a surgical procedure aimed at correcting the shape or size of the labia minora for aesthetic or functional reasons. Below are the most commonly used labia minora plastic surgical techniques:

1. Edge Resection Method (Trimming)

 This is one of the most commonly used techniques in labia minora plasty. During the procedure, the plastic surgeon removes excess tissue from the edges of the labia minora to achieve a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

This method provides the labia minora with a beautiful, natural look, and the plastic surgeon can also correct discoloration (pigmentation issues) on the edges of the labia.

3. Central Deepithelialization Method

 In this technique, the plastic surgeon removes only the upper layer (epidermis) of the excess skin above the labia minora, reducing the size of the labia while maintaining their natural contours.

4. Composite Technique

 This technique combines the edge resection and wedge methods to create an aesthetically pleasing result. The plastic surgeon removes tissue from both the outer edge and the central part of the labia minora, achieving significant reshaping and size reduction.

LARGE LABIA PLASTIC SURGERY

The large labia (labia majora) are part of the female external genitalia, surrounding the vaginal opening and the small labia. They are positioned in pairs, one on the right and one on the left, and are generally thicker and fleshier than the inner small labia.

1. Large Labia Augmentation (with autologous fat)

Procedure

The procedure involves harvesting fat cells from another part of the body (usually from the thighs or abdomen), which are then processed using a special technique and injected into the large labia area. The advantage of this method is that the injected fat cells can remain over time, offering a more lasting result compared to hyaluronic acid fillers.

CLITORIS HOOD PLASTIC SURGERY

Techniques Available

  • U (horseshoe) incision: Removes excess skin in a V-shape from both sides of the hood.
  • Central incision: A central incision to remove larger skin folds.
  • Lateral incision: Used to correct asymmetry.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia or sedation. The surgeon removes the excess skin using the agreed-upon technique and closes the wound with fine stitches. Healing takes approximately 4-6 weeks, during which physical exertion and intimate activities should be avoided.
